A New Kind of Conversation: Real Voices, No Filters

TransVitae is introducing a new space for open, honest conversations about transgender life, starting with discussions on TikTok and expanding to YouTube and Twitch. The goal isn’t to debate but to talk, to listen, to question, and to learn without hate. It’s about understanding people beyond the headlines and letting empathy take the mic.

Since the day I launched TransVitae.com, I’ve dreamed about creating a space where people could actually talk. Not argue. Not perform. Just talk.

For years, that dream sat quietly in the background, an idea for a podcast or stream where anyone could call in to discuss transgender issues without it turning into a culture-war battlefield. A place where questions could be asked without judgment, and experiences could be shared without fear.

But there was one problem: my voice.

Like so many trans women, I’ve carried discomfort with how I sound since puberty. Every word felt like an echo of a version of me I didn’t want the world to hear. I’d record something, play it back, and flinch. That insecurity kept me behind the keyboard for years, hiding behind the words on a screen instead of speaking them aloud.

Growing Into My Own Voice

Nearly three years into my transition and a year and a half into running TransVitae, I’ve finally reached a point I didn’t think possible. I’m okay with who I am, what I look like, and how I sound.

It didn’t happen overnight. It came slowly, through writing, community, and countless conversations with readers and friends. Each story I covered and each person I met chipped away at the fear I had carried since I was a teenager.

Today, I’m no longer trying to sound like someone else. I’m ready to sound like me.

Straight Talk, Not Debate

The podcast, whatever shape it ultimately takes, won’t be about “owning” anyone or scoring points. I’m not interested in hosting debates. I’m interested in conversations.

Most people have never had a genuine conversation with a transgender person. What they know comes from bad-faith influencers, clickbait headlines, and echo chambers that thrive on outrage. Online, transgender people are often either demonized as threats or dismissed as jokes. But that isn’t reality.

Reality is quieter. It’s human. It’s people trying to understand each other over a cup of coffee, not over a shouting match.

That’s what this podcast will be, a place for honest discussion in good faith. You don’t have to agree with me, but you do have to come without hate.

What You Can Expect

At least in the beginning, the discussions will take place on TikTok. That’s where it starts.
We’ll talk about what’s happening in the world, the stories affecting the transgender community, and the narratives shaping how people see us. Listeners can join in and ask questions, and I’ll answer as honestly as I can, based on my experience.

On YouTube and Twitch, I’ll have a bit more freedom to do video reviews and share my thoughts on both the creators and their creations. But I’m starting with a loose framework and no script, so we’ll see how it goes and adjust as we move forward.

Over time, it might grow into something more. For now, the goal is simple: talk about the news, share perspectives, and keep things grounded in reality and respect.

Why It Matters

There’s too much hate in this world, and most of it is born from ignorance. Ignorance grows in silence, in the spaces where we stop talking to each other.

This podcast is my way of breaking that silence. I’m not here to convert anyone or to be the perfect example of a trans woman. I just want to create a space where empathy gets the mic for once.

If you come in good faith, curiosity, and a willingness to listen, you’ll always be welcome.

The Road Ahead

I don’t have the full setup yet. There’s still audio gear to figure out, a format to fine-tune, and maybe a few technical hiccups along the way. But this time, I’m not waiting for perfection. I’m starting anyway.

Because the truth is, I’ve been having these conversations for years through articles, interviews, and quiet DMs from readers who just needed to talk. The podcast will simply move those conversations into the open.

So, here’s your invitation: pull up a chair, bring your curiosity, and leave the judgment at the door. Let’s talk. Because real change doesn’t start with shouting. It starts with listening.

When and Where to Tune In

A set schedule hasn’t been locked in yet. The first few discussions will roll out as soon as everything’s ready to go, and timing will adjust as the format takes shape. For now, keep an eye on this post and follow TransVitae’s social media channels for updates on when the first sessions go live.
