In one of the messages, the passenger allegedly referred to Dorfman using offensive language and complained about “two and a half hours” next to her, while also making additional remarks described by Dorfman as misogynistic toward flight attendants.
Dorfman, 33, criticized what she described as the “audacity” of the behavior, writing that the incident reinforced both her personal choices and the broader challenges transgender people face in public spaces. She emphasized that her transition has never been about conforming to societal expectations or “passing,” but rather about personal alignment and comfort.
